Huevos Poster.jpg

"Huevos Rancheros" is the story of Danny and Marcus, life-long friends who fall on opposite sides of the Equality debate. After an altercation, Marcus confronts Danny about his deep seeded homophobia. Danny is trying to change, to progress but finds it increasingly difficult. As filmmakers, we hope to present to you a short that creates and fosters conversation. While we centered it around the Marriage Equality debate, this same dialogue can occur about Gender Equality, Feminism, Syrian Refugees, Race Relations, Religion, and Politics. We can be on opposing sides and still treat people with respect and acknowledge when one or both sides need to evolve to benefit society as a whole. Change is hard and necessary. Huevos Rancheros made 11 Festival Appearances in the 2017-18 season including international screenings at Prague and Cayman International Film Festival's. Among the festivals Huevos was also nominated 6 times in categories including Best Drama Short, Best Short Ensemble, and both Lead and Supporting Actor Nominations with one win; the Indie Spirit Award at Windy City Film Festival.
